Overseas Trips

Our club generally organises 2-3 overseas trips per year. These trips are mainly walking events, however, there have been several cycling trips. Walking trips have taken place in:

• England, when the Coast-to-Coast walk was completed

• Poland in the Tatras Mountains

• New Zealand South Island (several trips)

• Northern India

• Indonesia

• Nepal and

• Switzerland

Cycling trips have occurred in:

• France

• Around Lake Constance - Germany, Austria and Switzerland

• Austria and

• New Zealand

In the 2023 walks program there are:

• 2 walking trips to Japan and

• 2 trips walking on the Orkney Islands, Scotland

In 2024 there will be walking trips to:

• Latvia and

• Switzerland, with others being planned.

All overseas trips are very popular and are meticulously organised by club volunteers. Members find going overseas with a group of friends from the club to be one of the special delights of membership, offering experiences that would not normally be available to them.
